A tribute to the cheese of Savoie
The warmth of a wood-fired oven radiates from the centre of l’Aiglon restaurant, enveloped by a stone counter where guests perch, a backdrop of the flickering blaze just beyond. A grand space, dotted with high wooden benches and delicate grosgrain fabrics, gently lit by paper lanterns suspended in air.
Every evening, the lights are dimmed and the cosy restaurant welcomes guests to take a journey through Savoie’s finest cheeses. In the form of raclette, tartiflette and fondue, dishes are shared with sips of jewel-toned wine in between. Each dish is crafted from local mountain products, carefully selected to embody l’Aiglon’s guiding ethos - a celebration of the French Alps, from farm to plate.
A cosier restaurant, l’Aiglon is a hidden gem at the foot of the Vanoise massif. Open only for dinner, it is the perfect place to truly experience Val d’Isère, whatever the occasion.
